Visier COVID-19 data sources
The COVID-19 capabilities within Visier People® provide case data, vaccinations data, and projections. As described below, the Visier COVID-19 case and vaccinations data are consolidated from many sources providing global coverage. The projection data is unconsolidated, but forecasts the demand for hospital services.
Consolidated case data
Visier acknowledges datasets provided by the sources in the following tables. Reference to third parties including government agencies or news organizations does not constitute endorsements of these consolidations.

Consolidation of sources
We consolidate the data to handle any overlap and omissions and to provide coverage for thousands of locations. Some sources provide overlapping information—such as the value of confirmed cases for the United States—that differs between datasets, while some sources are incomplete; for example, lacking recovered patients data. Some sources give data for many countries at the national level and others are country specific—like the US Centers for Disease Control vaccination data. To consolidate, we include numbers from sources according to the following ranking of priority, starting with public body information and ending with news sources:
- Public bodies
- State/Province
- Country
- Multinational
- Aggregators
- Data aggregators
- News aggregators
Our consolidation process prioritizes completeness over consistency of source. Therefore, values for a particular location or date may come from different sources based on availability. For example, the number of confirmed cases may come from a different source than the number of recoveries for the same location.
