Manager effectiveness is a black hole
When data isn’t driving decisions or proving impact, orgs get caught in a loop

Scattered data
Workforce data lives across deeply embedded HR and Finance systems. Meaning data pulls take time.

Shaky assumptions
Headcount moves fail to account for backfills, severance and coverage. Making impact unclear at first.

Premature decisions
Managers hire, source and relocate without visibility into plans. Actuals surface after budget spend.

Credibility hits
Both the CHRO and CFO are accountable to Boards demanding answers faster than ever.
Spans of control are widening fast
Higher stakes for teams and leaders expose more blindspots

CFOs are cutting headcount. Pressure is mounting for HR programs to prove ROI. Fewer managers are responsible for bigger teams.
Yet blindspots are everywhere.
Gap: you can’t see risk signals or how well managers are executing (or if they’re executing at all)
Gap: at an average 1:40 HRBP-to-manager ratio, even real signals can't reach enough managers to respond at scale
These are the gaps Visier Workforce AI was built to fill.

Common questions
How is this different from our LMS, which already tracks completion?
An LMS tells you who finished a course. It doesn't tell you whether that manager changed how they run their team, or whether their team's retention, engagement or performance moved afterward. Tracking completion is table stakes. Connecting development to team outcomes is the actual question Finance is asking.
Our engagement surveys already flag which managers are struggling. Isn't that enough?
Survey scores are a signal, not proof. They tell you sentiment at a point in time but not whether that sentiment is tied to what a specific manager is doing. And not whether an intervention changed it. Without linking survey data to team-level retention and performance, you can't confirm that a program worked.
How can I get managers to adopt another tool?
They don't need to. Guidance reaches managers in the flow of their existing work (in Teams, Slack or email) at the moment it's relevant. Not as a destination they have to remember to log into.
How is this different from AI coaching tools that already claim to change manager behavior?
Most of those tools measure activity, like sessions completed or nudges sent, not outcomes. The category has overpromised enough that trust is low. The distinction here is proof: how team retention, performance and engagement actually moved for the managers who went through it, compared to those who didn't.
Doesn't this feel like manager surveillance?
The design intent is to support managers, not report on them. Guidance is delivered to help a manager handle a specific moment, like a coaching conversation or a disengagement signal. Not to generate a scorecard for oversight. The goal is to support the manager to act. Not just watch them.
We can't reach every manager with an HRBP at a 1:40 ratio, so how would we even run this at scale?
That ratio is exactly the problem this solves. Instead of depending on individual HRBP outreach, guidance runs across the full manager population automatically. This frees up HRBP capacity to directly support the managers who need it.
Will this create more systems to maintain and integrate?
Visier sits on top of your existing HR and communication systems. Rather than adding a parallel platform. Guidance is delivered through channels already in use (ie. Teams or email). Meaning it doesn't require managers or HR Ops to learn or maintain something new.
Can I defend this investment to the CFO?
The proof is built to survive conversations with Finance: program spend versus retention improvement in developed managers' teams, weighed against the replacement cost of exits that didn't happen. That's a number Finance can evaluate on its own terms. Not a completion rate they'll discount.
