Meet The New Visier: The Trusted Workforce Context Your AI Needs

Sixteen years after founding Visier, CEO Ryan Wong introduces Visier Workforce AI: the governed workforce context layer that turns people data into answers leaders can trust.

We started Visier over 16 years ago because something was missing in enterprise software: people.

Existing software platforms were dedicated to exploring the customer journey and the product lifecycle, but no one was working to understand the heart of any business, its people.

So we built an industry-first people analytics platform to help HR and business leaders connect talent decisions to business outcomes. We’re proud to be the founders of people analytics as a category.

That same passion still drives Visier today. But AI is transforming how work gets done, the skills businesses need, and the roles everyone plays. Understanding people remains as important as ever, but companies also need to understand how their workforce is changing, what to do about it, and how AI can drive real results.

And that requires real workforce context.

Workforce context means knowing how people, roles, teams, and reporting lines fit together, how they’ve changed over time, and how work really gets done. It’s what transforms AI from a generic assistant into something that can drive value for your business.

That’s why I’m so excited to announce our reinvented platform: Visier Workforce AI.

Providing the context layer that’s critical for enterprise AI, Visier Workforce AI turns people data into a complete, governed understanding of your workforce, helping leaders make talent decisions that drive business outcomes. Just as importantly, it’s enterprise-ready: governed, scalable, and secure enough for your most sensitive people data.

The power of the Workforce Context Layer

Without context, even sophisticated AI can reach the wrong conclusions. For example, it ranks the manager with the highest turnover the lowest, with no clue they were brought in to fix a team that was already falling apart.

But providing true workforce context (opens in a new tab) is easier said than done.

For starters, people data is scattered across the business, in different departments and systems. Even when you can find it, it’s often trapped in spreadsheets that only an analyst can decipher.

Tapping into this precious data comes with security and compliance risks, too. Sensitive employee information requires painstaking care to protect, while ensuring only authorized parties have access. Feeding workforce data into outside AI tools risks exposing confidential information.

Workforce data also needs real benchmarks to be useful. Without comparing your organization against a representative cross-section of peers, for example, a 15% turnover rate is just a number.

We’ve been tackling these challenges since 2010, helping pioneer the people analytics industry. Now we’ve built on that foundation to make workforce context available to leverage with AI.

Meet the new Visier

At the heart of our platform is Visier’s Workforce Context Engine, which brings together workforce data from across enterprise systems and translates it into context that leaders, managers, and AI agents can rely on. This represents the culmination of nearly two decades of working with more than 85,000 global companies, understanding their data challenges and needs, and how to best leverage people data to drive real business outcomes.

Visier's Workforce Context Engine in 5 steps

Visier’s Workforce Context Engine helps connect talent to outcomes in five steps:

  1. Unify. Everything starts with one continuous view of your workforce. We connect each employee’s full story across all your systems and keep it trustworthy through reorgs, acquisitions, and late corrections.

  2. Model. We map the relationships and reporting structures that define how your workforce operates. Our 2,000+ pre-built metrics ensure everyone uses the same definitions and calculations, even as the organization changes.

  3. Enrich. Enterprises need to know where they stand against their peers. Drawing on benchmarks from 250M+ HR and 2B+ compensation data points, we add context to every metric, so a number like attrition becomes something a leader can act on.

  4. Govern. People data is some of the most sensitive a company holds, so every answer respects each person’s permissions. For example, a manager sees her own team’s pay but aggregates for the rest of the org, with the rules applied the moment the answer is calculated.

  5. Deliver. Once an answer is governed, it can be delivered consistently and securely to people, AI agents, and other systems. Companies can access the same workforce intelligence across the tools they already use, without replacing their existing infrastructure.

That foundation powers our award-winning AI agent ecosystem. Vee, our flagship Workforce Insights AI analyst, helps leaders get answers to workforce questions in real-time, with governed, accurate data.

To that, we’ve added a new suite of Talent Agents that help turn insights into action. These agents give managers personalized guidance when they need to act, tracking the results, and using what they learn to improve future recommendations.

We’re also introducing Vee Diagnostics, which goes beyond identifying workforce problems to explaining why they’re happening. Using statistical models, it can show leaders what’s driving a spike in turnover, for example, and assess which interventions are most likely to make a difference.

Together, these capabilities help companies do three things in one place: understand the workforce they have today, plan for the workforce they need tomorrow, and activate managers to take action so they can drive talent and business outcomes in a tangible way.

What does that look like in practice? Providence, a major operator of hospitals and clinics, used Visier to assess whether higher pay would boost retention for key roles. The company learned something surprising by looking at trusted, accurate data: fewer than 1% of the jobs analyzed were sensitive to pay, which let it target raises where they mattered. The result was an estimated $6 million in annual savings.Another customer, a global financial institution, knew its hiring pipeline had glitches but couldn’t see where or why. Visier enabled it to see which managers hired most efficiently, then use those habits to build a standard hiring process that improved new-hire retention by 14%.

The common denominator: governed, accurate workforce context enables enterprises to truly unlock the value of AI and take their people data to the next level.

Powering the next workforce transformation

This is a new Visier, but it’s also one our customers will recognize.

People are still the heart of every business, and connecting talent to outcomes remains our top mission. But now AI is transforming the way we work and amplifying the impact of people data, giving leaders the ability to turn insights into action and unlock more value than ever before. But AI only works if it’s equipped with the right context. This is exactly what Visier Workforce AI is built for. Governed and secure by design, our platform is the workforce context layer that empowers people and AI agents to drive business forward.

Sixteen years ago, we set out to put people at the heart of business decisions. And you’re going to see that and feel that from Visier in a whole new way from here on out through our visual rebrand. Whether through our orange spectacles or whimsical caricatures, our ‘new look’ isn’t just about fresh new colors and relatable imagery. It’s about you, the humans behind the business.

As AI transforms the workplace, that commitment to putting people at the center of everything we build and say matters more than ever. Now, companies everywhere finally have the context they can trust to unlock real talent outcomes.

We’re excited for you to join us for this next part of our Visier adventure.
