Entitled, “Continuous, Cost-Driven Workforce Planning: ConAgra Foods Transforms the Role of HR through Analytics,” the study looks at how the company’s acquisition of a private label business spurred the food maker to adopt Visier’s Workforce Intelligence Solutions.

After ConAgra Foods announced its intent to acquire a private label in 2012, which would increase the size of its workforce by more than 40 percent, the company’s People Insights team sought a new way to calculate the total cost of its workforce and perform workforce planning: At that time, information was spread across the organization in siloed systems within various departments and was often difficult to aggregate and reconcile. The People Insights team had many goals, including:
- Providing a broad base of HR, finance, and other users with easy access to workforce analytics
- Optimizing personnel cost planning, forecasting, and analysis with leading technology and processes
- Creating real-time visibility for all personnel related costs
To address these areas, ConAgra Foods partnered with Visier to aggregate all of the company’s data from multiple systems.
