Visier is committed to protecting the privacy of your information. We have established this Privacy Statement to explain how we collect and use your personal information. This Privacy Statement applies to data collected by Visier through the visier.com and visiercorp.com websites and other webpages which we operate and in which we post a direct link to this statement.
Customer Data
Visier customers may electronically submit data or information to Visier for hosting and processing purposes in connection with a subscription to a Visier product or service (“Customer Data“). Visier will not review, share, distribute, or reference any Customer Data except as provided in your Visier Master Service Agreement, or as may be required by law.
Information We Collect
We do not obtain personal information (e.g., name, address, email address, etc.) about you when you visit our websites unless you choose voluntarily to provide such information. Some areas of our websites request or require personal contact information, such as name, company name, address, phone number, email address, company annual revenues, number of employees, and industry (“Contact Info“). We do not share your Contact Info with any third party without your consent, except to the limited extent described below under “Sharing of Collected Information.”
Visier, or Visier authorized service providers, may observe your activities, preferences, and transactional data (such as your IP address and browser type) relating to your use of Visier’s websites (“Usage Info“). While we may collect or log Usage Info, we generally do not identify you or match this information with your Contact Info.
You may provide us with personal information, such as that contained on a resume or a curriculum vitae, in connection with a job application or inquiry (“Job Application Info“).
In accordance with the Federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), Visier will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without parental consent. If we learn that we have received information from a child under the age of 13 without parental consent, we will attempt to delete this information as soon as possible. Regardless of any stated preference, we will never knowingly and voluntarily share the personally identifiable information of a child under the age of 13 with a third party.
Use of Collected Information
Visier uses Contact Info it collects to perform the services requested by the user. For example, if you fill out a “contact me” form, Visier will use the information provided to contact you about your interest in our products and services. Visier may also use Contact Info for marketing purposes. For example, we may use information you provide to contact you to further discuss your interest in our products and services and to send you information regarding Visier and its partners, such as information about promotions or events.
Visier uses Usage Info to operate and improve our websites, to diagnose technical problems with our websites, to facilitate your use of the sites, or to track aggregate traffic patterns throughout our websites. We may also use this information alone or in combination with your Contact Info to provide you with personalized information about Visier.
Visier may use Job Application Info throughout Visier for the purpose of employment consideration or responding to your inquiry. We may keep Job Application Info on file for future consideration.
Sharing of Collected Information
Unless described in this privacy statement, Visier does not share, sell, rent, or trade any information provided with third parties for their promotional purposes.
From time to time, Visier may partner with other companies to jointly offer products or services. If you purchase or specifically express interest in a jointly-offered product or service from Visier, we may share your information collected in connection with your purchase or expression of interest with our joint promotion partner(s). We do not control our business partners’ use of your information we collect. Their use of the information will be in accordance with their own privacy policies. If you do not wish for your information to be shared in this manner, you may opt not to purchase or specifically express interest in a jointly offered product or service.
If Visier should ever file for bankruptcy or merge with another company, or if Visier should decide to buy, sell or reorganize some part or all of its business, Visier may be required to disclose your personal information to prospective or actual purchasers or receive personal information from sellers. It is our practice to seek appropriate protection for information disclosed or received in these types of transactions.
Visier reserves the right to use or disclose information provided if required by law or if we reasonably believe that use or disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process. We also reserve the right to use and disclose any information collected via the site that is not in personally identifiable form.
Managing Your Information
You may request to access, update, change, or delete your registration information by contacting us by e-mail at privacy@visier.com. Such requests will usually be handled within 30 days.
Security
Visier uses robust security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alternation of the information under our control. Provided you are accessing our websites using Internet Explorer version 6.0 or later, Firefox version 2.0 or later, or Safari version 3.0 or later, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology is employed to protect you using both server authentication and data encryption. SSL and other technologies in use by Visier help ensure that your information remains safe and secure. Our websites are hosted in a secure server environment that uses firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other advanced technology to protect against interference or access from outside intruders. You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of any usernames and passwords associated with Visier’s websites.
Keeping our customers’ data secure is our number-one priority, and we encourage responsible reporting of any vulnerabilities that may be found in our site or application. Visier is committed to working with the security community to verify and respond to any potential vulnerabilities that are reported to us. When reporting a potential vulnerability, please send an email with the details to security@visier.com. Please provide full details of the suspected vulnerability so the Visier’s security team may validate and reproduce the issue.
