We are still a small development team, and so we are looking for people who want to grow, learn, and wear multiple hats.
Hosting Operations and Information Security
The Hosting Operations and Information Security team is responsible for the 24×7 operations of Visier’s SaaS infrastructure including network, servers, databases, firewalls, and data security. The team is growing and needs a highly motivated and energetic person to meet our goals.
Linux System Administrator (4 Month Contract)
The successful candidate will be working in a mixed production / development environment and must be able to multitask, work independently and complete tasks within project timelines. The successful candidate must be able to strictly follow documented procedures according to ISO27002, ITIL and COBIT v5 frameworks as well as submit to a criminal background check.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of the following skills
Required Skills:
- Linux Administration, Ubuntu experience would be beneficial
- Scripting languages: bash, Perl, ruby
- SMTP, DNS and DHCP (both Unix and Windows based)
- PostgreSQL
- Apache and Jetty webservers
- LDAP (ApacheDS / Microsoft AD)
- Java
Experience with the following would be beneficial:
- Cryptography tools such as PGP
- File Encryption
- WordPress
- MySQL
- Eclipse IDE
- Redmine
- Mercurial
- Checkpoint or Palo Alto Network Firewalls
- Splunk
- Puppet Enterprise configuration management
This is an entry level position with high demands and expectations. The Hosting Operations/Linux Systems Administrator position will start off as a 4 month contract with the possibility to convert to full time.
