Metrics

A metric is a value that is computed from the Subject and Events for a particular group of entities in a particular time frame. An example of a metric is "Turnover Rate."

Average Travel DurationThe average duration, in days, of travel occurrences that were reported during the period, calculated at the end of the period.
Average Travel Expense CostThe average cost of travel expense items reported during the period.
Average Travel Expense Report AgeThe average age, in days, of all submitted and approved travel expense reports at the end of the period.
Median Travel DurationThe midpoint duration, in days, of travel occurrences that were reported during the period, calculated at the end of the period.
Median Travel Expense CostThe midpoint cost of travel expense items reported during the period.
Median Travel Expense Report AgeThe midpoint age, in days, of all submitted and approved travel expense reports at the end of the period.
Policy Compliant Travel Expense ReportsThe total number of submitted travel expense reports that are in compliance with the travel expense policy at the end of the period.
Total Travel DurationThe total duration, in days, of travel occurrences that were reported during the period, calculated at the end of the period.
Travel Expense CostThe total cost of travel expense items reported during the period.
Travel Expense Cost YTDThe total cost of reported travel expense items, from the beginning of the year until the current period.

Travel Expense Policy Compliance RatioThe total number of submitted travel expense reports that are in compliance with the travel expense policy, compared to all submitted travel expense reports at the end of the period.
Travel Expense ReportsThe total number of submitted travel expense reports at the end of the period.
Travel OccurrencesThe total number of travel occurrences reported during the period, calculated at the end of the period.
Working Days Spent TravelingThe total number of working days that active employees spent traveling during the period, calculated at the end of the period.

Dimensions

A dimension is created from a concept or property and contains all the potential values. It is then used to allow filtering and grouping of the content. Dimensions can be hierarchical. An example of a dimension is "Generation" which groups employees by the year of their birth.

Account NameThe name of the account.
Billable StatusWhether or not the expense will be billed to the client.
Expense ReasonThe reason for the expense report.
Expense Report NameThe name of the expense report.
Expense TypeThe type of expense. For example, food or accommodation.
Expense Violation CategoryThe category that the expense policy violation belongs to.
Merchant NameThe name of the merchant who processed the expense.

Concepts

Visier employs a large range of analytical concepts, these define expected and desired analytical objects. Each concept allows configuration so that the concept can be employed by you. An example of a concept is "Involuntary Turnover" which allows you to define the types of turnover that are to be considered as involuntary.

External Travel Expense ItemAn expense item resulting from employee travel to meet with external stakeholders.
Frequent TravelerAn employee who has multiple travel occurrences during the period.
Sales Opportunity with Travel BudgetA sales opportunity that includes travel expenses in the budget.
TravelerAn employee who has at least one travel occurrence during the period.

Subjects

Subjects are entities that evolve and change. They have properties and changes to those properties are captured over time. An example of a subject is "Employee."

Sales OpportunityAn opportunity within the sales process to sell to a potential customer.

Events

Events are records that occur at a specific point in time and do not change after they have occurred. An example of an event is an interview.
