An analysis is a document that describes a collection of analytical content to analyze and understand a particular use case. While you can generate your own Analysis, each Visier application is delivered with a set of standard analyses.

A metric is a value that is computed from the Subject and Events for a particular group of entities in a particular time frame. An example of a metric is "Turnover Rate."

| Average Feedback Rating | The average numerical feedback rating received by employees during the period. |
| Employee Feedback Provided Ratio | The percentage of employees who provided feedback as part of the performance check-in process during the period. |
| Employee Feedback Received Ratio | The percentage of employees who received feedback as part of the performance check-in process during the period. |
| Employees with Manager Feedback Ratio | The percentage of employees who received feedback from their manager during the period. |
| Employees without Feedback Ratio | The percentage of employees who did not receive any feedback as part of the performance check-in process during the period. |
| Feedback Events Count | The number of feedback events that occurred in the selected period. |
| Managers Who Completed Feedback Count | The number of managers who provided feedback to all of their direct reports during the period. |
| Managers Who Completed Feedback Ratio | The percentage of managers who provided feedback to all of their direct reports during the period. |
| Managers Who Did Not Complete Feedback Count | The number of managers who did not provide feedback to all of their direct reports during the period. |
| Managers Who Did Not Complete Feedback Ratio | The percentage of managers who did not provide feedback to all of their direct reports during the period. |
Visier employs a large range of analytical concepts, these define expected and desired analytical objects. Each concept allows configuration so that the concept can be employed by you. An example of a concept is "Involuntary Turnover" which allows you to define the types of turnover that are to be considered as involuntary.

Events are records that occur at a specific point in time and do not change after they have occurred. An example of an event is an interview.
