Visier is looking to hire a Senior Software Test Developer to join our rapidly growing software development team. We are looking for a motivated, technical, Senior Software Test Developer who is passionate about testing software and cares about the quality of our products. Candidates should have proven knowledge and experience in testing enterprise software with cutting-edge technologies. And they should have hands-on experience with multiple testing activities including but not limited to functional, regression, black/white box and automated testing.

What you'll be doing...

  • Design, implement and maintain test automation framework and scripts for backend, frontend and mobile apps
  • Drive to reduce manual/repetitive tasks and assist with writing test automation scripts
  • Coordinate and participate in feature requirements review for testability, including writing and reviewing of automation and manual test plans
  • Participate and provide guidance in code reviews
  • Responsible for end-to-end product quality, including defect management, status reporting, and escalation for critical issues discovered during the testing phase
  • Participate in bug triage, helping assess defect prioritization relative to business and customer requirements
  • Work closely with developers, program managers and data management engineers to assist in debugging, testing, and development of tools to help identify defects
  • Available to help troubleshoot critical customer issues, including reproducing issues, analyzing application logs, or clarifying intended feature functionality
  • Perform automated and manual testing, including regression testing for each release cycle to ensure software meets business and security requirements
  • Drive and help to establish best practices and testing processes
  • Help coach and mentor Junior Test Developers to gain better understanding in domain knowledge, test development best practices and test efficiencies
  • Perform SQL queries to validate data correctness

What you'll bring to the table...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field
  • 6+ years of experience as a Software Test Developer
  • Background in testing data driven applications
  • Experience in testing SAAS deployments
  • Proficiency in Black, Grey, and White Box testing
  • Experience in building tools and test automation frameworks that drive testing efficiencies
  • Experience with performance and security testing
  • Strong Java, JavaScript or Scala development skills in testing and debugging
  • Strong knowledge of using Selenium, Appium, and REST API test framework, particularly ScalaTest
  • Experience with designing and testing APIs/SDKs is a plus
  • Experience working with iOS SDK or Android SDK is a plus
  • Experience working with DB technologies such as Postgres or Apache Cassandra is a plus
  • Deep commitment and passionate about maintaining quality
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skill
  • Proficient with Agile testing methodologies and know what great looks like
