Visier has a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Event Specialist to produce a variety of events from conception through to completion. Reporting to Facilities Manager, Event Specialist will fully manage various internal events including an annual company wide town-hall meeting, an annual sales kick-off, quarterly global management meetings, quarterly global sales meetings, Sales club trip, holiday parties and many more employee events to foster our culture of celebrating success and having fun!

Responsibilities

  •    Event planning, design and production while managing all project delivery elements within time and resource limits
  •    Organize facilities and manage all event’s details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional materials, etc.
  •    Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day
  •    Liaise with stakeholders to identify their needs and to provide a great customer service while closely managing allocated resources
  •    Conduct market research, gather information and negotiate with vendors
  •    Propose ideas to improve services and event quality
  •    Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations
  •    Cooperate with Marketing to promote and publicize event as needed
  •    Collaborate closely with other employees in the facilities/admin team to support each other, which may require other administrative tasks from time to time

Requirements

  •    Minimum of 5 years of event planning experience
  •    Experienced in coordinating large scale events for employees
  •    Disciplined in managing budgets
  •    Great negotiation skills to maximize value with less cost
  •    Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with conflicting priorities or interests
  •    Excellent time management and communication skills
  •    Ability to be creative with limited resources
  •    Ability to manage multiple projects independently
  •    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  •    Google and MS Office proficiency
