Director of Sales, West – West Coast USA

As Director of Sales, you will be responsible for building Visier’s business. You will report directly to Visier’s VP of Sales. You will hire account executives immediately and future hiring will be unlocked with demonstrated success. You will sell the Visier People solution. You will build pipeline, negotiate and close opportunities, and nurture long-term customer relationships.  You will lead, coach, and develop your account executives and deliver exceptional results to the company.  You will be responsible for developing and maintaining your pipeline using our salesforce.com system and for forecasting with diligence and precision.

We are growing rapidly!  This role requires 25-50% travel.

What you'll be doing...

You are an exceptional and experienced sales leader.  Your sales style is the right blend of science and art, with good human instincts and empathy but also adherence to a disciplined and rigorous sales methodology.  You have extensive experience with analytic applications selling, selling into business (not just IT) executives. You have led teams of enterprise salespeople selling to C-level executives.

You set high standards for your organization and achieve lofty goals.  You are committed to continuous improvement and will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.  You are a true team player.  You work well in collaboration with marketing, sales development, solution consulting, finance, and legal functions.  You are not on a power trip and you operate without politics and with the highest ethical standards.

What you'll bring to the table...

  • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in sales leadership managing senior account executives.
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in software sales, with a heavy emphasis on selling applications (not infrastructure) software.  SaaS experience is preferred, as is analytics experience.
  • Experience with HR or financial domain is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional customer-facing skills. Experience working with large enterprises.
  • Outstanding presentation skills. You need to be a rock-star in front of customers and be able to represent our solution with energy.
