Director of Marketing, Mid-Marketing – Vancouver, Canada

Visier, the leading provider in the Enterprise for SaaS based People Analytics, seeks an experienced Director of Marketing, Mid-Markets to help us to make Visier the world’s leading people analytics solution in the mid-market. This is a unique opportunity for the ideal candidate to create and build something new — that spans from strategy to hands-on execution, positioning and demand generation — all within the environment of a well-funded and successful business.

We seek a well-rounded, experienced marketer with a passion for market-making, experimentation, and the desire to drive strong results. As part of a dedicated mid-market team, he or she will work alongside our mid-market sales team to define, capture, and optimize our mid-market strategy. The marketing director will collaborate with product and cross-functional marketing teams to attack new markets while working closely with the dedicated mid-market team to define our ideal customer and understand our buyer’s needs, purchasing process, competition, and how to best position Visier as a must-have solution in the space. Success will mean being comfortable with learning quickly through experimentation as you envision, pilot, execute, measure, and iterate.

A successful candidate will bring an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty. She or he brings hands-on experience forecasting and managing a marketing budget, selecting and managing vendors, prioritizing and running multiple initiatives simultaneously and partnering with cross-functional peers to deliver campaigns and programs that deliver measurable results.

What you'll be doing...

  • Accountable for making a business impact by planning and executing a variety of demand generation programs that build new business pipeline (may include campaigns, events, customer stories, plays and playbooks, social selling, adwords campaigns, etc)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify market segments and develop marketing programs that deliver success at each customer touchpoint and each stage of the buyer’s journey
  • Innovate, pilot, measure, and track performance of marketing activities to grow pipeline quantity, quality, velocity, win rates and ROMI for the region
  • Monitor, analyze, report and present on campaign and KPI performance, mid-market success, deliverables and programs
  • Be the expert on our buyers, why they buy, and their buying criteria
  • Be the expert on our competition and how we differentiate
  • Develop and evangelize market-shaping product positioning, messaging, and value propositions that differentiate and drive demand for our solutions
  • Lead development of compelling content to inspire and compel market adoption
  • Work with a cross-functional teams to successfully launch product
  • Understand and support our sales channels; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users
  • Collaborate on mid-market specific strategy and plans with our web, events, brand and PR teams to ensure messaging, experience, audience, and customers are served through our broader North America marketing strategies.

What you'll bring to the table...

  • 5-10 years marketing experience, with at least 2 years direct channel B2B mid-market marketing experience in SaaS, application marketing. Mid-market HR software marketing or mid-market analytics marketing is a plus.
  • Track record of driving growth in new-markets
  • BA/BS or equivalent University degree
  • Proficient in marketing automation (Marketo) and sales automation/CRM
  • (Salesforce.com) reporting and campaign features
  • Hands-on self-starter, critical thinker and problem-solver who is agile, adapts to rapidly changing high growth environments, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines while juggling multiple deliverables
  • Creative thinker with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in a startup or emerging growth technology company delivering disruptive solutions an asset
